The central area of Catalonia, from Montserrat to the Pre-Pyrenees, covered by fog. Almost the whole district of Bages and the low Berguedà remain under the fog. The fog develops some winter days with anticyclonic wheather. However, the frequent situation is fog covering just the lowest areas for no longer than midday. The shadow of Montserrat's summit, Sant Jeroni, is depicted on top of the clouds layer. Notice, in the left tip of Montserrat's shadow, one halo of multicolor circles. This is the spectrum of Brocken, a remarkable optical phenomenon of the shadows in the mist. See also the graph of number of foggy days in Manresa. [photo Jordi Badia]
