Hygrophorus russula is an edible mushroom that grows in the evergreen forest. However it is poor acknowledged in Bages district because large evergreen forests are only found in the area of Mura, protected by the natural park of Sant Llorenç del Munt i L'Obac. The cap has streaks or spots of scarlet or red wine colour shades on top, which outstand in front of its whiter grills and stipe. [photo Jordi Badia]
